Keep an eye on the details

This lightweight model predicts the main subject at 320 × 320, then maps it back to the original size. Hair, glass, shadows, thin objects and similar foreground/background colors can be difficult. Inspect the result; original dimensions do not mean every fine detail is retained.

A few helpful answers

Does the checkerboard mean transparency?

Yes. The checkerboard reveals transparent areas in your processed PNG; the checkerboard itself is not embedded in the download.

Which format supports transparency?

This tool downloads a PNG with an alpha channel at the original image dimensions. JPEG cannot preserve transparency.

Will fine details always be retained?

No. Inspect thin objects, hair and translucent areas. This lightweight model works best with a clear subject and a simple background.

Is my image uploaded or charged for processing?

No. U2NETP runs inside this browser; your image is not uploaded and no credits are deducted. First use downloads the model and runtime. Download the result before leaving the page; it is not stored in demo history.

Which browsers can run it?

Use a current browser with WebAssembly, module workers and OffscreenCanvas on HTTPS or localhost. If processing is unavailable, try an updated Chrome or Edge. Processing speed depends on your device.
