How Image Alternative handles account information, browser storage, image processing, and privacy choices.

Last updated:

This Privacy Policy describes how Image Alternative handles information when you use its website, account features, scene prompts, and image tools. Different tools can process information differently; the explanations below describe the workspace and authentication flows available through this site.

1. Account information

Email registration and sign-in send your email address and password securely to Supabase, our authentication provider. Supabase handles your account record, authentication, and session information. Confirmation and recovery requests use the email address you provide. Signing in does not upload the images or prompts in your workspace.

If you select an available Google sign-in option, Google and Supabase process the authorization. Basic identity information, such as an account identifier, email address, name, and profile image, may be provided to establish your account. Your Google password is handled by Google; it is not entered into Image Alternative.

2. Image files and local processing

The browser background remover processes your selected image on your device using the U2NETP model. The model and runtime are downloaded from this site, but your image and processed PNG are not uploaded by that tool. The processed result is temporary and is not added to the sample collection; download it before leaving the page.

Reference images displayed in the sample workspace use temporary browser URLs. They are not sent to Supabase by signing in. A sample preview is an independent illustration and does not require sending your reference image to an image-generation provider.

When you submit an AI generation request, your prompt, selected settings and any reference image are sent to Kie for processing. Generated images are sent to SeeAPI for content safety checks. Request records and approved generated images are saved privately through Supabase and linked to your account. Signing in alone does not submit a generation request.

3. Cookies and browser storage

Session cookies and temporary authentication-verification data support sign-in, secure callback verification, and session continuity. Browser storage holds the local sample collection and demonstration balance; sample records can include prompt text and selected settings. Your current prompt and tool settings can also remain in the active tab as you move between workspace pages. Reference image files are not part of that stored collection.

Background-removal model files may be cached to avoid repeated downloads. You can clear this site’s browser data to remove local storage, cookies, and cached files. Doing so can sign you out and remove local samples, but it does not delete your Supabase account.

4. Why information is processed

Account information is used to authenticate you, maintain your session, provide account access, and respond to account or recovery requests. Local storage supports the browser workspace. Service requests can also include technical information such as an IP address, browser information, and request timing needed to deliver and protect the service.

When you contact support, information you choose to include is used to understand and respond to your request. Do not send passwords, verification codes, or information that is unnecessary for the request.

While you are signed in, a first-party collector records a random visit identifier, account-linked page categories, subscription clicks and attempts to open checkout. We use these steps to understand use of the service and improve the purchase flow. These activity records exclude URL search parameters and fragments, prompts, images, file names, passwords, authentication tokens and card details. Opening checkout does not confirm payment; payment status comes from verified transaction records.

5. Service providers and disclosures

Supabase processes account information to provide authentication. Google processes information when you choose its sign-in option. These providers operate under their own applicable privacy notices and service arrangements. Your information may also need to be disclosed where required by applicable law or to address unlawful activity or a serious security issue.

When you open sandbox checkout, we send your verified account email to Waffo, when available, to prefill the email used for receipts and subscription management. You can review it on the payment page. Waffo hosts checkout and processes the billing and test-card information entered directly there. We retain account-linked order identifiers, plan and price snapshots, verified payment amounts and taxes, subscription status, and the corresponding Credits ledger. We do not collect or store full card numbers or CVCs. Payment notices are verified before their identifiers are saved; customer contact and card details from those notices are not copied into our payment inbox.

Using a local image tool does not give those authentication providers access to your selected image. If you copy a prompt into an external AI service, that service’s own data practices apply to the information you submit there.

Kie processes AI generation requests and uploaded references; its underlying model services may also process this content. SeeAPI processes generated images for safety checks. These services receive only the content needed for the requested operation. Do not submit confidential material that you are not permitted to disclose to those providers. Local U2 background removal and sample previews remain browser-based.

Kie currently states that uploaded files are removed after 24 hours, generated media after 14 days and task metadata after two months. These are supplier retention periods, subject to its current policies; our private saved results are separate. Contact us about access or deletion requests for account-linked generation records. We do not promise that deleting a local preview also deletes a supplier record.

6. Storage and retention

Temporary image previews and unsaved background-removal results are kept in the browser for the active workflow. The local sample collection remains until you reset it or clear browser data. Authentication information is stored in the account service separately from browser data; removing local data does not remove that account record.

Submitted AI prompts, model settings, request status and approved images are linked to your account so you can view, download and reuse your work in My creations. Credit and verified payment records are retained separately for reconciliation and accounting. Clearing a local sample collection does not delete these account records. Contact support for an account-linked content or deletion request; transaction records may need to be retained under applicable obligations.

Raw first-party activity records are kept for 30 days and then removed in batches by our background processor. Orders, verified payment receipts, Credit ledgers and administrator gift audit records follow their separate transaction-retention rules.

Service providers may process information in locations outside your country. The protections and rights that apply depend on the provider arrangements and applicable law. This policy does not promise that all account data is processed only on your device or in a particular country.

7. Your choices and account requests

You can sign out, reset the local sample collection from the Usage page, and clear this site’s browser data. Save any image result you want to keep before leaving its tool page. You can contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of account information, or to ask a privacy question. Available rights depend on applicable law, and we may need to verify your identity before acting on an account request.

Do not submit content or personal information you do not have permission to use. If you need to send sensitive information for a support request, contact us first to agree on an appropriate method.

8. Security and eligibility

Keep your account credentials private and use a trusted device. No website or online transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Tell us if you believe your account or information has been accessed improperly.

Use the service only if you meet the eligibility requirements in our Terms of Service, including any parental or guardian permission required by applicable law. Contact us if you believe personal information was submitted without the required permission.

9. Updates and contact

We may update this policy when data practices or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the latest version. We will provide any notice required by applicable law before a material change applies.

For privacy questions or account-information requests, contact the Image Alternative team at support@imagealternative.com. Do not include your password or authentication codes.
